Milwaukee Personal Trainer Looks to Set Guinness World Record for Largest International Simultaneous Fitness Boot Camp Workout
BJ Gaddour, CSCS, YFS, is a Milwaukee personal trainer. He is the founder of Workout Worldwide and has hand selected the top 50 fitness boot camp programs in the world as remote sites for the first ever Workout Worldwide on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 10 am US CST. The event looks to set the Guinness world record for the “largest international simultaneous fitness boot camp workout” with all net proceeds going to the American Heart Association (international participants will donate to their local heart association).
It’s no secret that the month of January is the time of year when people are most motivated to engage in an intensive exercise regimen to improve their overall health, performance, and body composition. Gaddour claims “Starting with Thanksgiving and ending with the countdown to the New Year, most people tend to gain five to 10 pounds due to a daily 500-1,000 calorie surplus. This stems from a lack of exercise and/or an increase in food intake due to the stresses and celebrations of the Holiday season.”
Workout Worldwide seeks to help those who fell off the wagon during the holidays get back on track in 2010. The workout will feature a time and space-efficient total body weight loss workout to provide a jump-start to one’s New Year fitness resolutions- a fitness program catering to busy professionals that can easily be continued in days, weeks, and months to come. The event is sponsored by Workout Muse, a fitness music and media production company. Workout Muse will be providing custom interval workout music that will instruct when to start and stop each exercise so the on-site trainers can safely and effectively motivate and supervise the large number of attendees. The music is also clinically proven to improve exercise motivation and performance.
In order to set the world record for largest international simultaneous fitness boot camp workout, the following criteria must be met:
1) The event must be simultaneous and start promptly at 10CST.
2) The host site and all remote sites must have at least 2 impartial witnesses on hand during the event. Anyone will do, pillars of the community like the mayor of the city or a prominent business leader are preferred.
3) The event must be filmed and photographed for visual proof.
4) All attendees must sign in and the attendance logs from each site must be provided to Guinness for an official final tally for all locations.
5) Media exposure helps ensure a world record is made official.
Gaddour says “Besides having the opportunity to be a part of a world record event, there are lots of other cool prizes that will be provided to attendees including trial memberships to local fitness boot camps, downloadable home fitness programs, and discounts for various fitness equipment and nutritional supplements. If you love fitness, you’d be crazy not to attend!”
BJ Gaddour, CSCS, YFS, is a Milwaukee fitness expert and is the founder of Workout Worldwide. He is also the head trainer for the host site at The Shops of Grand Avenue in Milwaukee, WI. Local businesses who make a $500 donation will earn their employees free access to the event in their area and will also receive a complimentary fitness lunch and learn and be put into a raffle to win free corporate fitness boot camp training sessions on-site at their facility. Milwaukee Personal Trainer to Host First Ever Workout Worldwide for Charity
BJ Gaddour, CSCS, YFS is a Milwaukee personal trainer and the founder of Workout Worldwide, an organization whose mission is to change the world one workout at a time. He will be hosting the first ever Workout Worldwide at Grand Avenue Mall in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 10 am US CST. There will also be over 50 remote locations worldwide performing the workout on the same day. It will be the world’s largest international charity fitness boot camp workout of all time with all net proceeds going to the American Heart Association.
Gaddour claims “We know that without proper nutrition and regular intensive exercise the body breaks down into a state of disease. The chronic illness that develops from lack of movement and poor dietary habits accounts for over 70% of the deaths in America and four out of every five US dollars spent on health care. These deaths and costs are quite preventable. It is also important to note that all businesses bear the brunt of chronic illness, even those with relatively healthy employees. The whole point of this event is to slap both employees and employers in the face with some accountability regarding the effect their behavior has on both themselves and society at large. If you really care about your country, the best thing you can do is take care of your health.”
The workout will feature a time and space-efficient total body weight loss workout to provide a jump-start to one’s New Year fitness resolutions- a fitness program catering to busy professionals that can easily be continued in the days, weeks, and months to come. The event is sponsored by Workout Muse, a fitness music and media production company. Workout Muse will be providing custom interval workout music that will instruct participants when to start and stop each exercise so the on-site trainers can safely and effectively motivate and supervise the large number of attendees. The music is also created with specific tempos and melodies that are clinically proven to improve exercise motivation and performance.
Various prizes will be raffled out following the 20-minute high-intensity interval workout, including free local fitness bootcamp memberships and access to a “Drop a Dress Size in 21 Days” home fitness program powered by Workout Muse that includes interval workout music mp3 soundtracks and smartphone and video iPod compatible follow-along rapid weight loss workouts you can do anywhere.
Gaddour says “We’ve hand picked the top fitness boot camp owners across the globe to provide attendees with a free two-week trial to their camps for a basic $20 donation. Those who make a premium $50 donation will receive a one-month fit camp membership valued at $200. And even if an attendee chooses not to continue with a local boot camp program, they’ll have access to a digital home fitness training system that only requires 30 minutes of your time three days per week with no need for fancy, expensive equipment. It’s truly a small investment of time for the dramatic benefits that a regular intensive exercise regimen can have on your overall health, performance, and body composition. It will change your life- I guarantee it.”
Local businesses who make a $500 donation will earn their employees free access to the event in their area and will also receive a complimentary fitness lunch and learn and be put into a raffle to win free corporate fitness boot camp training sessions on-site at their facility.
